is the clinic owner and director. She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in Communicative Disorders from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Her interest in people with communication disorders started with taking sign-language classes and later interpreting for the deaf at church at the age of 16. Elizabeth’s career includes a diverse background in speech-language pathology including public schools, where she completed her Clinical Fellowship Year, as well as hospitals, nursing homes, home health, and private practice. Elizabeth has a passion for helping people of all ages to communicate; however Elizabeth has a special interest in children with severe unintelligibility and training parents of preschoolers. In addition to treating patients, Elizabeth‘s main responsibility is in overseeing the clinic operations and mentoring, supervising and training staff.

Elizabeth holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and a Texas license in speech pathology. Currently, she is active with Independent Therapy Providers Association, focusing on how to advocate for the patients of private therapy clinics including better health care reimbursement rates and polices for people with communication disorders. Elizabeth enjoys speaking at conferences regarding the operation and management of private practice as well as at parent groups to answer questions and provide guidance about speech and language therapy and development.

In addition to operating KSPS, Elizabeth is very busy with her husband, teenage son, and pre-teen twin girls! Elizabeth enjoys traveling, cheering on the local sports teams, attending musicals, volunteering at church, and participating in community groups including the Kingwood Area Mothers of Multiples and her college alumni group.

grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Audiology and Speech-Language Sciences in May 2015 and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology in July 2017. During graduate school, Meredith worked with both pediatric and adult populations and gained experience in a variety of settings, including public schools and inpatient rehabilitation. Meredith holds a license from the Texas Department of License and Regulations for Speech-Language Pathology and the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

Meredith’s interest in speech-language pathology began at a young age as she received speech therapy for several years to treat an articulation disorder. She, since, has developed a love for helping others communicate with confidence as she was helped. Meredith currently enjoys working with patients of all ages and a variety of diagnoses but developed a passion for working with language and literacy when she had the opportunity to conduct a research study with a colleague in graduate school and present her research at the national American Speech-Language-Hearing Association convention in 2016.

In her free time, Meredith enjoys playing piano, going to musical/theater productions, baking, and spending time with her family (and beloved dog!).

Is a native to the north Houston area and currently resides in Tarkington. Shelby graduated from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2018 and then received a Masters in Speech Language Pathology in 2020.

Shelby became interested in Speech Pathology after discovering the profession in her early teenaged years. This passion grew as she served children with developmental disorders as a summer camp counselor. While completing her graduate degree, Shelby had the opportunity to develop clinical skills in diverse setting including public schools, private clinics, and an outpatient rehabilitation hospital. Shelby loves the interaction with all clients and families that a career in Speech Pathology allows; Shelby has particular interests in the areas stuttering, early childhood speech and language development, and augmentative and alternative communication. 

Shelby completed her  Clinical Fellowship here at Kingwood Speech. She hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and is licensed by the state of Texas to practice Speech Pathology.

Outside the clinic, Shelby serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry at her church. She and her husband, Chandler, enjoy playing cards with her family, spending time in the garden, and trying new foods

She holds a Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a license from the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA).

An elective course in Communications during her Freshman year of college, sparked her interest in the field of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Prior to moving to Houston and joining Kingwood Speech Pathology Services, Joyce was a speech-language pathologist with the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. After retiring from the school district, she started a private practice providing services to preschoolers and school age children in their homes and/or school setting.

Joyce has served as coordinator of the Speech Pathology Program in the School of Education at Nevada State College in Henderson, Nevada, and has been a part-time faculty memberfor San Jose State University, Nova Southeastern University, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Nevada State College.

Joyce comes to KSPS with many years of experience working with children primarily in the areas of apraxia, phonological disorders, autism, language and literacy.

When not working, Joyce enjoys the companionship of her two dogs, Yoga, music, theater, traveling, and visiting with family and friends.

Jan Petrucciani earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degree at Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State-San Marcos. Her training in speech language pathology included a strong
program in speech disorders and reading, language learning disabilities. Her background includes public school, private school, outpatient, in-patient rehabilitation, home health and as a faculty instructor and supervisor at Stephen F. Austin State University. She later founded a private practice with 2 university colleagues. Jan joined the KSPS team in 2018. She is a long-time colleague of the KSPS clinic owner. Jan’s interest in the speech-language pathology field began as a babysitter to a deaf child and in a girls’ service organization that taught swimming to young people with developmental disabilities. Jan is especially interested in Childhood Apraxia of Speech and Autism. She is passionate about helping children of all ages and especially enjoys helping parents learn to be part of the process with their child
as they move toward better communication.  Jan holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and holds a license in Speech Language Pathology from the Texas Board of Licensing and
Regulation.  As a proud Air Force Brat, Jan’s travels have taken her to Germany and various places in the states, but she is happiest being back in Texas for her adult life. She is the mother to 3 grown daughters, and the joyful Mimi to 7 grandchildren. She is an avid quilter, a voracious reader and loves spending time being involved in her church activities which includes singing in the choir.

Amanda grew up in the North Houston area. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then received her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology at Lamar University.
Her interest in speech pathology began when a professor showed the class a video of her husband receiving speech therapy service after a traumatic brain injury. At that moment, Amanda knew she wanted to help others communicate and become a speech language pathologist. Prior to graduate school, Amanda worked as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Dallas, Texas; she treated adults with special needs in the home health setting. During graduate school, Amanda worked with both the pediatric and adult population in a variety of settings including, public schools, private clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. Amanda holds a license from the Texas Department of License and Regulations for Speech-Language Pathology and the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, watching movies, playing board games, and spending time with her family and friends.
