KSPS is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of our clients and their families. We are committed to providing flexible scheduling options. Speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists review progress and provide training to families on a weekly basis. Consultations with teachers, physicians, and other professionals are scheduled to coordinate services. Our staff will obtain referrals, prescriptions, and reports as needed from the appropriate source.
KSPS offers pediatric occupational therapy services. We provide evaluations and create treatment plans to benefit children who have motor delays and differences in sensory processing. Our goal is to enhance development, minimize the potential for developmental delays, provide functional skills training, and help families meet their child’s special needs. Individual sessions and co-treatment sessions with a speech-language pathologist are available.

Cathy grew up playing a variety of sports but eventually chose soccer as her sport of choice. During this time, spending ample amounts of time in personal training gyms, athletic offices, and learning about how the body works, she discovered a career in the medical health field is something she would enjoy. She chose a career in occupational therapy so that she was able to meet and help others in a way that could help change the lives of not only the individuals she treats, but their families as well.
Cathy and her husband currently reside in Humble and make frequent trips back to her husband’s hometown of Crowley, Louisiana to visit family and friends. In their free time, outside of travelling back and forth between Texas and Louisiana, they enjoy attending USA soccer sporting events, traveling to new places every year on vacation, going to comedy shows, and hosting family and friends at get togethers at their house.
Alexa Grasty COTA, Occupational Therapist
Alexa is our newest edition to the Kingwood Speech team and has lived in the Porter/ Kingwood area her entire life. She recently graduated from Lone Star College Kingwood with an Associates of Applied Science and received her certification and license as COTA.
As a teenager, Alexa witnessed tragedy after a fellow student was involved in a major car accident. While talking with friends and discussing all of the different therapies and procedures this person would have to endure, she stumbled upon Occupational therapy. Once learning about the profession and the people that it can help, she knew that was her niche in life.
Outside of the clinic, Alexa is a wife and a mother to a beautiful daughter and a sweet dog named Gambino. She loves spending time with her family, whether that be camping, swimming, or just snuggled up on the couch watching a movie or a good show.
